Bar Harbor Acadia Cottage Rentals evolved over the past couple of years while I was renting out my own four vacation cottages. Friends and relatives who also had cottages available for weekly rentals contacted me. I began referring inquiries to these other cottages and eventually became an ad hoc rental agent for all of the cottages. And happily so. I have loved working with people who are planning their summer vacations! One reason is that I truly believe this is one of the most beautiful places in this country. My impartiality has nothing to do with the fact that I was born here, and my family was the second family to settle on Mount Desert Island in 1761, in Somesville. While it is my ancestral home, it's also a beautiful place to live and visit!

I also believe there are activities for everyone here—for extreme sports aficionados and beach bums alike! I can appreciate that this is the one opportunity a year that many families and individuals have to relax. Having accommodations that live up to your expectations is critical to having a great vacation.
