Camp Pond's End

The perfect spot for 2-4 people wanting to be RIGHT on wonderful Long Pond, the largest lake on Mount Desert Island, and surrounded by Acadia National Park. Enjoy swimming, fishing, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking right from your own dock (shared with one other cottage). Bring your own boat or rent one locally! Nestled in the woods, Camp Pond's End is both private and part of the lake fun! And just 15 minutes or so to downtown Bar Harbor and a main entrance to Acadia National Park's Loop Road.

This newly remodeled camp is warm and cozy with native knotty pine. The one bedroom features a queen bed, with a double sleep sofa bed in the living room. There is a bathroom with a large shower and a washer and dryer. The living room has a beautiful granite fireplace with a gas log operated by remote control. From the living room you'll enjoy spectacular views of the water and mountains. Amenities include cable TV, microwave, dishes, toaster, dishwasher, linens, iron, outside gas grill, picnic table radio, VCR, and a lobster cooker.

A great spot, right in the middle of Mount Desert Island. And when you do feel like leaving your little retreat Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park await you with dining, shopping, hiking, biking, carriage road walks, beaching, bird watching, swimming and the most beautiful natural mountain and sea vistas in the U.S.
