The "Command Post" is located on Mount Desert Island in the small village of Hall Quarry. Nestled on the rocky shore, it enjoys spectacular views of Somes Sound, the only natural fjord on the east coast, as well as Sargent Mountain in Acadia National Park. Walk to the shore in minutes!
This lovely one-bedroom cottage features a king-size bed in the cozy bedroom, and has a sleep futon in the living room to accommodate up to four guests. There is one bathroom with a tub and shower. Amenities include a gas fireplace, gas BBQ, satellite TV, DVD player, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and internet access.
Just minutes from Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, pristine lakes (including Echo Lake), hiking trails, carriage roads, and much more, Command Post is a wonderful spot for your week-long vacation. Other attractions include: biking, boating, whale watching, canoeing (kayak and canoe tours), lake swimming, horse back riding, wonderful dining, shopping, deep sea fishing! Visit the oceanarium, take a Jackson Lab visitors tour, golf at a PGA top-rated course, play tennis. Kids activities include: water park, petting zoo, miniature golf, beaches, and lots of ice cream/diary bars!
