Deer Track Camp

Deer Track Camp is located in the lovely village of Hall Quarry. It sits up on a hillside overlooking Somes Sound (a natural glacial fjord and a wonderful waterway) and Sargent's Mountain. Nestled in the woods among cedar, pine and birch trees, it's a cozy retreat.

A small camp, with an open floor plan, it can accommodate up to 4 persons: the bedroom has a king bed; and the futon couch converts to a futon bed, queen size. There is a kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker), working granite fireplace, bathroom with shower. The surrounding yard is wonderful, with shade trees and wonderfu granite ledging. There's a picnic table in the yard, and the deck has chairs so you can enjoy the spectacular views. You can also access the shore, although it's a bit rocky. There are two kayaks shared by a couple of cottages for your use.

You'll be roughing it a bit: no washer/dryer, dishwasher, phone, TV or heat. There is a radio. Bring a good book!

Mount Desert Island has so much to offer: biking, hiking, boating, whale watching, nature walks, fishing, swimming, fine dining. Bar Harbor is just 15 minutes away; Southwest Harbor just 7 minutes away! Mountains, ocean, lakes, and parks, are all at your fingertips.
