A pleasant, spacious summer cottage located just out of downtown Somesville, in the heart of Mount Desert Island. Set back a couple hundred yards from the road, it features lovely shaded grounds—a cool spot in the warm summer days. Tall trees and a natural setting. Central to everything Mount Desert Island has to offer, Reddish Cottage is 15 minutes to downtown Bar Harbor, just minutes from Great Long Pond (a wonderful swimming and boating lake) and Echo Lake, close to hiking at Beech Hill Mountain, and just 10 minutes to so to one of the main entrances to the Acadia National Park Loop Road. Dine just 10 minutes away in Southwest Harbor!

The first/main level features a library/reading room, kitchen, dining room, living room with large decorative brick fireplace. There is access to the deck from the living room and kitchen. There's also a laundry room and queen bedroom and full bath. The lower level features 3 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens), a full bath and large great room with decorative brick fireplace that leads directly to the outside.

Amenities include satellite TV, DVD player, dishwasher, washer/dryer, linens, cookware, diningware, microwave, practically everything needed to enjoy your vacation!

There's also a lovely deck for relaxing and barbecuing.

Visit Southwest Harbor and Bar Harbor, for great shopping, dining, golf courses, public tennis courts. In the area there's also a water park, miniature golf, whale watching cruises, carriage roads, petting zoo, oceanarium, and of course, Acadia National Park!
