Sea Chantey
Vacationing on the water in Northeast Harbor is a wonderful Maine coast experience! The lovely Sea Chantey is located on a large estate in Northeast Harbor, and is actually the guest cottage, situated over 150' away from the main house. Guests enjoy full access to the rocky shore and wonderful ocean views. It's a short walk into the quaint village of Northeast Harbor to visit art galleries, specialty shops and the wonderful marina (as well as the free Island Explorer bus stop). Peace, quiet, and privacy perfectly describe this lovely retreat that sleeps 8 guests, offered for limited dates in the season.
The great room of Sea Chantey features the living, dining and kitchen area. There are 4 bedrooms: one bedroom with a king bed and private full bath; a second bedroom with a queen bed; and a third bedroom with twin bunk beds (like a ships cabin with real portholes!), with a shared full bath in the hall. The loft area above is the 4th bedroom, featuring a two twin beds.
Amenities include: one cable TV, WIFI, gas BBQ, all linens, cookware, dishware, washer/dryer, dishwasher, outdoor furnishings.
The cottage is just 15 minutes to the center of Bar Harbor, where you'll enjoy fun shopping, great restaurants, kayak tours, whale watch tours and more! Only 5 minutes to several hiking trails in Acadia National Park, including Parkman Mountain, Bald Mountain, Norumbega Mountain. And Northeast Harbor is home to several of the most beautiful gardens in Maine (Asticou, Azalea, Thuya). The Seal Harbor beach is just 7-8 minutes away too!

NOTE: all cottages come equipped with bed linens, bathing towels, dish towels, basic cookware (lobster pot too!), diningware, cooling fans, and basic cleaning supplies. You will need to bring personal consumable items like napkins, bath soap, shampoo, toilet tissue and paper towels. A/C is NOT standard in cottages. Our weather does not generally require it. If a cottage has A/C it will indicate that in its description. |
