Surry Seaside

This breezy oceanfront cottage is the perfect get-away for your summer vacation. Located in Surry, ME, just 30 minutes to the Bar Harbor town line and the information center for Acadia National Park, Surry Seaside is the kind of Maine cottage written about in idyllic summer stories. Cedar shingled, a 1/2 acre of land, simple, uncomplicated by technology, this cottage features beautiful ocean vistas and its own private beach. Relax in the Adirondack chairs on the deep water shore while you watch the sailboats pass by, with a view of the Acadia Mountains in the background. Bring or rent canoes to take full advantage of your beach. You'll also need to bring your 4WD or SUV because the road/driveway is a bit rustic!

This two bedroom features one queen bedroom; the second bedroom has two bunk beds to sleep 4. There is also a sleep sofa in the living room. It has one bathroom: the first floor bathroom has a tub/shower.

The TV gets 3 channels but there is a DVD/VHS player. There is no phone so bring your cell phone. There is no washer/dryer or dishwasher, but there are plenty of linens, cookware, and diningware. Other amenities include a microwave oven, electric stove, toaster oven, coffee maker and a charcoal BBQ. 

There's a public boat launch in Surry and you can purchase lobsters off the boat on Newbury Neck...about a 10-minute walk from the cottage.

Leave the city and noise behind and have a real Maine oceanfront vacation with your family and friends. Enjoy clean, refreshingly simple accommodations, while being close to glorious Acadia National Park (just 23 miles away). Enjoy the shopping in Blue Hill (just 12 minutes away), Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor, and a multitude of other activities in down east Maine!

This cottage is a Sunday to Sunday rental. Sorry, no pets.
