Wharf House

The Wharf House is a newly renovated cottage right across the road from the Hancock Point town pier. The new owners have lovingly restored this traditional harborside cottage. Enjoy wonderful views all day long of working fishing boats, sailboats and docksiders. Just 35 minutes to downtown Bar Harbor and the main entrance to Acadia National Park, you'll enjoy the peace and tranquility of wonderful Hancock Point while being near all that down east Maine has to offer its summer visitors. A lovely family spot.

The cottage features three bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen and 4 twins/bunks), and two baths. The kitchen is a chef's dream and the dining table is an old fashioned cottage table. The living room is comfortable and spacious and the front porch area offers additional seating for dining and watching the harbor. Amenities include: kitchen with full stove and refrigerator, toaster, microwave oven, etc., outdoor seating, charcoal BBQ, high speed internet, cable TV, playstation with movies, iPod docking station, washer/dryer, dishwasher.

Hancock Point enjoys several nice restaurants, a quaint community (click here to read NY Times article, published July 12, 2002), proximity to Schoodic Point (another branch of Acadia National Park), the Maine Coastal Island National Wildlife Refuge, and a short drive to Mount Desert Island.
